The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is pushing forward to promote new-generation farmers to become smart farmers to enhance their competitiveness, worthy of being an agricultural country

This afternoon (March 20, 65), Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and his team visited the agricultural promotion operations to promote new-generation farmers to become smart farmers at Thewwalai Farm, Nong Tong Subdistrict, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province. Mr. Sakchai Kunanuwatchai, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province, along with government agencies and new-generation farmers in Chiang Mai and Lamphun Provinces welcomed them and presented information exchange to create guidelines for further development of farmers into agricultural entrepreneurs, enhancing their competitiveness under the guidelines for agricultural development of Thailand, consisting of 5 strategies and 15 main policies, covering the promotion and development of the quality of life of farmers and agricultural institutions, such as the policy to strengthen agricultural institutions and the grassroots economy and the policy to promote entrepreneurial institutions and start-ups.
