Agriculture showcases success of Young Smart Farmer to become a leading entrepreneur

Dr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives

said that developing new-generation farmers to become Young Smart Farmers is another important factor in driving the development of Thailand’s agricultural sector, which has clearly shown a positive trend. It is a preparation for creating new-generation agricultural personnel to be modern and able to farm amidst the changes in the current world and to be an important force for the agricultural sector in the future. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, through the Department of Agricultural Extension, has implemented the government’s policy to take care of farmers’ children by developing and creating new generations to enter the agricultural sector, producing new-generation farmers with high competence who can apply modern technology and innovation to their agricultural careers, as well as promoting and supporting the exchange of knowledge about technology, the use of tools, management, and community development, with the aim of having new-generation graduates return to the agricultural sector to replace the old-generation farmers in the future.
